Salary Hike Formulas
Calculating New Salary from Percentage Hike
New Salary = Current Salary × (1 + Percentage Hike ÷ 100)
Example: $50,000 with a 5% hike = $50,000 × (1 + 5 ÷ 100) = $52,500
Calculating Percentage Hike from New Salary
Percentage Hike = ((New Salary - Current Salary) ÷ Current Salary) × 100
Example: From $50,000 to $52,500 = (($52,500 - $50,000) ÷ $50,000) × 100 = 5%
Calculating Monthly Increase
Monthly Increase = (New Salary - Current Salary) ÷ 12
Example: $52,500 - $50,000 = $2,500 annual increase = $208.33 monthly increase
